Sautéed in olive oil and lightly steamed in white wine, this Sautéed Cauliflower is nutty with just the right amount of sweetness. Best part – only three ingredients!!
There are so many delicious herbs and spices, think garlic and thyme, that you can add to this sautéed cauliflower but it is wonderful simply as it is.
How to Sauté Cauliflower
- Wash the cauliflower and cut into bite sized florets. Try and make them all close to the same size so that they cook evenly. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Heat a large non-stick pan. Once the pan is hot, add the olive oil and cauliflower in a single layer. You do not want them stacked on top of each other. Sauté in batches if you need to.
3. Allow cauliflower to cook undistributed for 2-3 minutes or until it begins to caramelize.
4. Slip the cauliflower over and cook for another minute or two. Add white wine and continue to cook until the liquid has evaporated.
Can I Reheat Sautéed Cauliflower?
Of course you can. My favorite method is heating up in a skillet, over low heat, with about one teaspoon of olive oil. Just stir until it’s warmed through.
You can also heat it up in a microwave, but it won’t be as good.
