This Pork Egg Roll in a Bowl recipe reminds me of my sister. We would sit down on the weekends rolling egg roll after egg roll for a delicious treat! But, boy, was that a lot of work. I don’t know about you, but I just don’t have the time for that these days. Here we have all of those wonderful flavors without any of the deep frying. And it’s Keto friendly!
What is in Egg Roll in a Bowl?
A stir-fry is one of my go to meals after a busy day. This recipe is basically an Inside Out Egg Roll that whips together almost instantly and the variations are endless. This recipe calls: for onions, green cabbage, and carrots. However, you can throw in whatever fresh vegies you have in the fridge.
- Ground pork (ground turkey, chicken, or beef would be delicious as well).
- A bag of coleslaw mix, shredded carrots, and onions. You can really throw in any fresh vegies that you have in the fridge.
- A simple stir-fry sauce made with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, sriracha, and rice vinegar.
How to make Egg Roll in a Bowl
1. Brown the ground pork in a large skillet together with the onions.
2. Add sesame oil, carrots, and slaw mix to the ground pork.
3. Add remaining egg roll ingredients.
4. Serve topped with green onions and sesame seeds.
What to Eat with Egg Roll in a Bowl?
Nothing. It’s a fabulous one-pan meal.
Does it Reheat Well?
Absolutely, it reheats very well. This is a great meal prep recipe that you can divide in containers for a quick and healthy lunch or dinner. Simply reheat in a bowl in the microwave or in a pan over medium-low heat. If you find that it is not quite as good reheated, simply top with a little extra soy sauce.
How to Store
In the refrigerator – store in an air tight container, in individual serving sized for meal prep, for up to 4 days.
In the freezer – place leftovers (if you have any) in freezer safe container and freeze up to 3 months. Simply let it thaw overnight in the refrigerator.

Keto Egg Roll in a Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground pork
- 1 cup onion diced
- 16 oz coleslaw mix
- 1/2 cup carrots shredded
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp sriracha hot chili sauce optional
- Green onions and sesame seeds for serving
Instructions
- Brown ground pork with the onion in a large skillet until no longer pink.
- Drain grease and return to pan. Add garlic and cook until for another minute.
- Add sesame oil, carrots, and cabbage to pan. Cook about 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl add onion powder, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, and rice wine vinegar. Pour over meat and cabbage mixture.
- Cook for additional 5 minutes and serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
